HCM 411 - Legal, Ethical and Social Aspects of Health Care

This course examines health care services for diverse populations including mental health, multicultural, geriatrics, substance abuse, and other groups. The learner gains an understanding of the issues of access, demand for services, and cost versus quality. Legal, ethical, and governmental mandates are reviewed.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of 300 level courses or permission of the Dean or Program Director.
