General Education Requirements:
Students must earn 120 college credits to be granted a Bachelor of Applied Science degree through the ADC Program and Wisconsin Lutheran College. Students will complete either the Business Management and Leadership Major or the Health Care Management and Leadership Major along with meeting the following General Education Requirements:
Core Studies and Professional Communication - met through first three program courses ( ADU 301 , ADU 303 , ADU 305 )
At least 6 credits of Humanities (Courses from Art, History, Languages, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Theatre)
At least 6 credits of Social Science (Courses from Anthropology, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology)
At least 6 credits of Natural Science/Mathematics (Courses from Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Physics)
At least 6 credits of Theology

General Course Information
Numbering: Courses are numbered according to level of difficulty based upon prior preparation and knowledge expected. The 100-level courses require the least in the way of prior collegiate preparation, whereas 300- and 400-level courses require the most in depth expectation for critical thinking and in written and speaking communication skills.
Credit: All offerings carry a specified credit load. One unit of credit is considered the equivalent of 750 instructional minutes per semester.
Prerequisites: These are listed at the end of the course description where applicable. Waiver of the prerequisite can be given only by the dean and/or instructor in charge of the course.
Sequence: Except in extenuating circumstances, courses in the BML major are expected to be taken in numerical order.
Internships
All internships are numbered 490 and are arranged with the Director of Internships with approval from the student’s major advisor. Students wishing to complete an internship for academic credit must:
- Have earned a minimum of 60 credits.
- Have a 2.25 cumulative GPA.
- Be officially accepted into a major
- Complete all academic requirements as outlined in the Internship Policies and Procedures document, which can be obtained from the Internship Director.
In addition, students must complete a minimum of 45 hours on site per credit:
1 credit = 45 hours
2 credits = 90 hours
3 credits = 135 hours
A maximum of 3 credits may be applied to a related major, unless otherwise specified. A maximum of 6 internship credits may be applied to the 128 total credit requirement.
Independent Studies
These courses are all numbered X99 with the first number representing the level of work being completed. Independent Studies in ADC are to be arranged with the Dean. Students need to complete an Independent Study Application and have it approved by the supervising instructor and the College Dean before it is added to their academic record.
