THR 285 - Theatre Lab

This course is open to any WLC student who desires to participate in a WLC Theatre production. Both on-stage and backstage participants can receive this credit as part of their production experience. For on-stage performers, this credit includes opportunities to develop and practice acting techniques, character development, rehearsal techniques, and performance. For backstage crew, this credit includes opportunities to develop, learn, and practice the skills of stage management, various run-crew positions, set-building, sound/light board operation, and/or assist in directing or designing. While this course can be taken in the same semester as THR 195, 295, and 395, students cannot combine THR 285 with THR 195, 295, or 395 within the same production. Students should enroll in this course at the beginning of each semester for which they are likely to participate in a WLC Theatre production.THR 285 is a repeatable credit with no maximum.
