CJS 201 - Criminal Investigation Procedure 3 credits This course studies the legal procedure surrounding investigation activities, as well as the constitutional restraints, found in the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments, on law enforcement activities during the investigation stage of the criminal justice process. Students review the procedural steps of the investigation, including, but not limited to: detention, arrest, interrogation, searches, obtaining evidence, finger printing, and drafting police reports.
