HSS 410 - Professional Ethics 3 credits This course introduces the many ethical and legal considerations for the practicing human services professional through a faith-based lens. Emphasis is placed on the developing helper as person and professional while exploring the role of values in the helping relationship. Other ethical issues covered in this course include diversity, client rights, confidentiality, multiple relationships and professional boundaries, professional competence, continuing education, supervision, and issues specific to work with couples, families and groups. Prerequisite(s): HSS 100 Term Offered: Spring semester
