THE 321 - Religion in America 3 credits An examination of the major Christian denominations, religious movements and non-Christian cults in the United States. Subject material will be studied for its historical development, distinctive doctrinal characteristics, and impact on American history and culture. Contemporary religious issues will be analyzed and evaluated from a confessional Lutheran perspective. Prerequisite(s): THE 100 , THE 105 , or THE 110 or by permission of instructor Term Offered: Spring Semesters General Education: Meets the Applied Theology general education requirement and the Intercultural Knowledge and Competence requirement.
