AI Literacy Minor

AI literacy emphasizes the understanding of AI and its agentic usage. This understanding deepens when higher education recognizes the significance and importance of the humanities in fostering creativity and engaging in human interaction without compromise; people matter. WLC highlights the importance of ethical practices in everyday life and the value of meaningful contextual awareness in today’s world. By staying grounded in the humanities, within this AI minor program, students learn that the data generated by AI systems becomes more meaningful and accessible because of the orchestrated work of human beings.

A minor in AI Literacy consists of at least 18 credits including:

Required Core:
AIL 110 - AI for Everyone 3 credits
AIL 210 - AI for Decision Making 3 credits
AIL 310 - AI for Creativity 3 credits
AIL 320 - AI Current Events 3 credits
PHI 303 - Philosophy of Human Nature & Artificial Intelligence 3 credits
At least 3 credits from the following electives:
BUS 302 - AI Fundamentals for Business 3 credits
Additional electives/special topics/internships (1-3cr)
