The mission of the M.S. in Professional Counseling program is to offer courses and practical experiences that provide preparation for clinical practice or prepare students to enter a doctoral training program in clinical psychology. The program will also prepare counselors who provide care for their clients in a compassionate, ethical way, informed and motivated by God’s love for all people. Graduates meet the core educational requirements for a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Wisconsin.
This is a 60-credit master’s program, 54 credits of which are pre-determined by the state of Wisconsin in terms of general content areas. This includes 700 hours of field experience, and in our program, Christian integration credits are required and infused throughout the curriculum.
