Cross-Categorical Special Education Certification (MC/EA or EA/A) - DPI License #801 (Learning Disabilities #811); ages 6-13 years or ages 12-21 years

Option 1 (elementary)

Program Requirements:

Elementary education major
Cross-categorical special education major

License Areas:

Grades 1-8 special education
Grades 1-8 (all subjects, self-contained classroom)

Option 2 (secondary)

Program Requirements:

Secondary education major
Cross-categorical special education major
Subject-area major

License Areas:

Grades 6-12 special education
Grades 6-12 departmentalized (in subject-area major)
