HIS 112 - European History 2, 1500-1850 3 credits An introductory study of the early modern period in European history, continuing the story of the development of European history from the period of the Reformation through the mid-nineteenth century. The course surveys the impact of the Reformation, European exploration and discovery of the “New World”, absolutism, the Enlightenment, the French Revolution and Napoleon, and the period of romanticism and reaction in the early nineteenth century.
