EDU 571 - Elementary Curriculum 1 - Literacy

A study of the nature and process of reading, instructional procedures for developing reading skills (phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary/spelling and comprehension). This course also has a focus on reading intervention models, speech, language and writing development and curriculum materials. Clinical work required. Candidates enroll concurrently in EDU 572.
