BIO 335 - Stem Cell Biology 3 credits This is a course in stem cell biology suitable for all majors. The scientific, medical, political, and ethical implications of embryonic stem cell research will be discussed. Alternative approaches, including adult and induced pluripotent stem cells will also be considered. In the laboratory, successful students will achieve proficiency in the culture, differentiation, and characterization of mammalian stem cells. 3 hrs lecture Term Offered: J-term only, rotational basis
