PHI 202 - Apologetics 3 credits An introduction to the task of Christian apologetics as laid out in 1 Peter 3:15: “Always be prepared to give an answer (apologian) to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” PHI 202 examines both the classical and contemporary arguments for and against the truth claims of Christianity. Through readings and dialogue the class will not only familiarize itself with the content of these debates but also learn how to navigate such dialogue with skeptics in truth and love. Term Offered: Spring semester General Education: Meets the Applied Theology general education requirement.
