BIO 333 - Biotechnology 3 credits This course includes lectures, discussions, and laboratory experiences in biotechnology suitable for all majors (including students in the Honors program). The potential benefits and hazards of microbial, agricultural, animal and human biotechnology will be discussed. Special consideration will be given to ethical dilemmas raised by modern biotechnology. In the laboratory, successful students will achieve proficiency in cell culture, cloning, genetic engineering, and transgenesis for commercial application. 3 hrs lecture Term Offered: J-term only, rotational basis
